It’s not quite business as usual for Headlock, but it’s close enough
The world is changing because of the effects of COVID-19. We’re working from home, meeting friends on Houseparty and binge-watching documentaries about tiger keepers in America.
Headlock isn’t immune to those changes, but we’ve made a bunch of changes to ensure our staff and customers stay safe during this time. We’re still fulfilling orders, answering messages and bringing you the best vintage clothing in the UK.
23/04/2019 Update - We're still functioning as normal at Headlock HQ! Orders are being dispatched by us on the same day as usual, but Royal Mail are struggling, so they may take a day or two longer to deliver to you.
Be patient, they're doing their best to get your items to you!
Here’s what we’re doing to stop the spread...
All events have been postponed
Even before the official lockdown, we postponed all Headlock events. The risk of spreading the virus was just too high for us, but don’t worry we’ll be at a venue near you as soon as this passes.
And yes, we miss you too.
Extended returns policy
If you made an order on or after the 23rd March you’ll benefit from an extended returns period of 60 days. We realise returning clothing isn’t essential, so don’t worry about going out during the lockdown.
Isolated packing and fulfilment
The only person packing orders will be Tom, the founder of Headlock. He’s self-isolating to minimise contact with the outside world and to decrease the risk of spreading the virus to others.
We’ll continue to use Royal Mail to deliver your orders after being satisfied with the precautions they are taking in their delivery practices.
Clothing cleaning practices
COVID-19 is generally spread through respiratory droplets (such as sneezing and coughing in close proximity to others) and not so much through materials. With that said, we want to reiterate that all our clothing is thoroughly cleaned and steamed when it arrives at our warehouse and each piece is inspected again before being packed.
With the virus only surviving on clothing for a few hours to 24 hours depending on conditions, the risk of contamination is extremely low.
Another chance for us to say thank you…
As a final point, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to all our customers, old and new. We’re all in a unique and challenging situation, but the outpouring of support we’ve had over these past few weeks has been humbling.
Our mission hasn’t changed. With your support, we’ll keep contributing to a more sustainable fashion industry. Together we’ll get through the next few months, and together we’ll continue the fight to slow down fast-fashion.
Stay safe Headlockers.
